Founded in the heart of Hollywood in 1977, Musicians Institute (MI) is a College of Contemporary Music built on the idea that musicians should teach and learn from other musicians in a creative, supportive environment. This unique college offers a complete education in every aspect of the music industry, including instrumental performance, composition for film and video games, audio engineering, guitar building, music business, and training in the latest music technology. Through real-world experience and guidance from working professionals, students can earn a variety of degrees and certificates, while taking advantage of networking opportunities at its state-of-the-art Los Angeles campus. Located at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland in Hollywood, California, the Musicians Institute campus includes state-of-the-art facilities accommodating a wide variety of programs and services. The Main Complex is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding holidays. It includes a variety of performance venues, recording studios, traditional classrooms, practice and private lesson rooms, production labs, and a library. Hollywood is known as the entertainment capital of the world, and MI’s main entrance is right in the center, on legendary Hollywood Boulevard just blocks from locations such as the Dolby Theater (home of the Academy Awards), Grauman’s Chinese Theater and The Hollywood Bowl. Clubs, recording studios and entertainment industry headquarters surround MI.
