All applicants, regardless of citizenship, are considered for merit scholarships. The University of Rochester awards merit-based scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential, regardless of financial circumstances. Merit scholarship amounts range from $2,000 per year to full-tuition. They are awarded to students during the admission process and renewed. Students can seek both need- and merit-based aid at Rochester. International students may also apply for need based-financial aid. Due to the limited resources, only a small number of international applicants will qualify for need-based financial aid from the University.
