To be eligible for an international student scholarship, students must be admitted to WSU as a degree-seeking undergraduate student and be a resident of any country except the United States. A $4,000 scholarship is offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher, and $2,000 scholarship is offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.30 to 3.59. These scholarships can be renewed each year for students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher in their classes at WSU.
Also available to international students is the International Merit Award, a tuition reduction that offers $2,000 to international students who meet at least one of the following criteria:(1) Cumulative GPA of 3.6 or above, (2) Unusual service to the university or community and/or (3) Other extraordinary work or achievement. To apply for this scholarship, students need to submit a completed International Programs Scholarship Form, a personal letter describing their meritorious qualities, and a letter of recommendation from their advisor, a professor, or an official program administrator.
