To help international students adjust to living and studying in the United States, Thiel created the Thiel College Host Family Program. The program offers international students another opportunity to learn more about American culture and gain additional emotional support. In turn, host families taking part in this rewarding program gain much from learning about another culture from international students.
English Language Program (Conditional Admission) – Thiel College does offer conditional admission to those students who received a minimum TOEFL score of 628 (fall semester) or a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 (fall semester). Students are allowed to take English courses at Thiel to achieve English proficiency, after completion of courses they can begin undergraduate classes at the start of the next term.
The Conversation Leader Program (CLP) matches international students with Thiel students as a way to practice and learn English, build friendships and share cultures. In addition to meeting one-on-one with an assigned CLP leader, there are monthly activities for CLP leaders and students to attend as one large group.
