Saint Mary’s is committed to helping international students achieve their goal of studying in the United States. We know that affordability may be a key consideration in determining your college choice. With that in mind, we offer two main types of financial aid for qualifying international students:
• Academic Scholarships
These merit awards are based on all aspects of your academic preparation. You will automatically be reviewed for an academic scholarship when your application is reviewed for admission to Saint Mary’s. All academic scholarships are renewable for a maximum of 8 semesters as long as you meet specific GPA requirements at Saint Mary’s. Saint Mary’s offers three levels of academic scholarships for qualifying international students that range from $10,000 to $18,000.
• Need-Based Financial Assistance
Saint Mary’s College offers a limited amount of need-based aid to international students depending your family’s financial situation and level of need. Students will be reviewed for need-based scholarships at the time of their application, based on the Certification of Finances form. Additional information may be requested as needed.
International students are permitted to work on campus during the academic year and can anticipate earning between $1,500 and $2,000 per year. Saint Mary’s limits first-year students to working less than 10 hours per week during the academic year, but you may be able to work additional hours during holiday breaks.
