Students may choose from numerous local and regional internship options or combine travel and life in a distant city with the learning experience. An internship may be undertaken for academic credit (with faculty approval) or students may decide to gain practical experience in a non-credit placement. The College’s Career Development Center helps students prepare for and find internships. Some current examples of internship organizations include the following: Children’s Center of Mercy County, Safety Dynamics Inc., Social Security Administration, Whalen Law Offices, Animal Rescue League Wildlife Center, and St. Paul Homes.
