Programs at undergraduate levels provide globally recognized degrees and diplomas. Bachelor degree students have hundreds of options for their major, minor, or specialized degrees. Students are encouraged to traverse traditional boundaries between arts, sciences, fine arts, languages and social sciences. First-year students benefit from interdisciplinary teaching programs pioneered at UBC such as the Science One program which blends the core sciences in an integrated format, or the Arts One program that examines themes from literature, philosophy, and history, within small learning communities.
Undergraduate students may also study abroad at one of UBC’s 165 partner institutions in 40 different countries (including the USA). A UBC education is not confined to textbooks and lecture halls. Undergraduate students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on research and interdisciplinary collaborations. Work side by side with faculty members who are experts in their fields, contribute to research projects with global significance, and pursue your unique interests— no matter how diverse.
